Why Recurly?

When we wanted to start charging for our service, we knew there was no way we were going to build our own billing system. We needed a service to store credit cards, process payments, handle both subscriptions and one-time charges, allow us to export our customer data if we needed to, and provide a drop-dead simple API. We’ve worked with multiple billing systems in the past and did a detailed analysis of every vendor on the market in our price range. Recurly had everything we were looking for and more.

Time To Launch

We were able to launch in just over a week. We have been using the API and push notification service from the start, and the full featured test environment and detailed documentation let us start developing immediately. We host our own signup page, but we were able to save time by using the Recurly hosted account summary pages.

End Result

We never have to worry about operating our billing system. Purchases and renewals all happen automatically: payments are processed and invoices are emailed to our customers without us having to do anything. The administrative pages make supporting our customers easy. And the API integration just works -- we have had to put very little effort into our integration since we launched, freeing up the whole team's time to work on our product.
